Born in Paternò, he began his vocal studies at a young age with Sara
Pastorello, winning prestigious awards such as the “Young Promise” prize
at the Bellini Competition and first prize at the “Francesco Cilea”
competition. He debuted as Uberto in La serva padrona in Colombia
and, in 2003, won the European Singing Competition in Spoleto, performing
Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro and Doctor Grenvil in La Traviata,
roles he also took on tour in Japan. He has sung at major Italian and
European theaters, including La Scala, La Fenice, Maggio Musicale
Fiorentino, Rossini Opera Festival, and Teatro Carlo Felice. He has
collaborated with renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Fabio Luisi,
and Yuri Temirkanov, and directors like Luca Ronconi and Jean-Louis
Grinda.
